Solid brass is a durable metal alloy of copper and zinc. Unplated brass will naturally darken/patina over time - and tends to do so more quickly in hot and humid weather conditions and it's recommended to keep it out of direct contact with water. It's extremely easy to polish back to its original luster:

- Use a silver cloth or polishing pad
- For a tough patina you can use steel wool and run it with the grain of the brass to remove the oxidization - then buff and shine with a polishing pad
- You can pickle your jewelry - we offer this service for our repair process.
- Do not attempt to polish the chain as it's a plated finish
