During this 2 hour hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of creating a custom rubber stamp (or several), from sketching to carving rubber to printing on colored papers. The possibilities are endless; folks can create any number of designs, from a simple shape to an abstract composition, a mini portrait or a piece using text.

This class is for adults (18+) and is great for beginners! All materials will be provided. 

In this class, you can expect:
➡ Expert guidance: Lizzie, owner of Rare Press, will guide you step-by-step through the basics of blockprinting.
➡ Goodies to take home: Each participant will leave the class with their finished rubber stamp(s), a stack of prints, and a black stamp pad for continued printing at home.
➡ Food & fun: Light brunch snacks and drinks are included in your ticket price. Gluten free or vegan? Watch for a follow-up email in the days to come to confirm your dietary preferences.

Meet the Artist! 🎨

Lizzie Christian (Rare Press) is a Minneapolis-based printmaker whose work centers on floral imagery, portraits, patterns, and encouraging text. She believes blockprinting is a very accessible art form, and workshops are a great way to explore your creative side without necessarily identifying as an artist!
